Our 63,000 sq ft facility is located in a major industrial park close to the Port of Montreal sea terminal, Pierre Elliott Trudeau International airport, major rail lines and is a 10 minutes drive from the heart of downtown Montreal. With over 70 tons of total crane capacity, high overhead clearance and 20 ft wide shipping doors, our manufacturing facility is well suited to handling up to the largest sizes of equipment. From our modern high definition plasma cutting table to our indoor abrasive blasting room and fully ventilated & heated paint shop, we are fully equipped to carry out the manufacture of our products from A to Z in our own facility, fully supported by our engineering team and quality control department.

QUALITY CONTROL

Bachmann Damjoint INC. manufactures, to the highest consisten quality standards, the most technically advanced dampers and expansion joints in the industry. In their own fully equipped manufacturing plant certified personnel constantly enfoce the Quality Control/Assurance procedures at all manufacturing levels, and verify compliance to specified industry codes: AISC, AISI, AMCA, ANSI, API, ASME, AWS, Coast Guard, EJMA, FSA, ISO 9001, etc…

TESTING AND R & D

Bachmann Dampjoint INC. maintains their R & D and Testing Facility for various types of testing on all lines of equipment. In-house testing requirements meet or exceed client specifications.

Feedback from field and in-house testing and research have guided the equipment designs to the present level of development. Bachmann’s comprehensive product lines were developed to provide the client with the correct choice, and not limit the design decision to restricted manufacturing capability.

The theory of continous R & D to find the better solution has resulted in design evolution away from conventional, and obsolete design, to the creation of the state-of-the-art line of equipment, Bachmann Dampjoint INC. offering today. Designs, based on years of service experinece, assist in the client’s requirement for optimum plant efficiency through equipment reliability, availability and maintainabillity. Economy through efficiency are the basis of the Bachmann designs.

HISTORY

Bachmann Dampjoint Inc is a privately owned design & manufacturing company located in Laval, Quebec, just north of Montreal.  The Bachmann name has a history in the damper and expansion joint industry dating back to the early 1970s. Our former company Bachmann Industries Canada Inc. Including Bachmann Industries USA, & Bachmann Australia was acquired in 1990 by an American company.

In April of 1994, the Canadian division was closed. Our personal non-compete agreement expired in Jan. 31/95, thus allowing us to re-enter the former business of designing and marketing the traditional ‘BACHMANN’ products, and that is exactly what we have done.

We have reorganized and revitalized the former company including most of its former employees and we are operating now under the name of BACHMANN DAMPJOINT INC. In October of 2006, Bachmann Dampjoint Inc. was acquired by the Canerector Inc. Group of companies.
